Prince William County police responded to the crash on the evening of July 18, in the area of Four Seasons Drive near Dumfries Road.
There, police learned that a driver of a 2011 Toyota Highlander, later identified as Diedra White, 60, of Dumfries, was driving westbound on Four Seasons Drive when her vehicle veered to the left, leaving the roadway, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
The SUV continued onto the median, striking multiple trees before coming to a stop. Medics took White to the hospital, where she died two days later.
No one else was in the SUV at the time of the crash, police noted. Upon investigating, officials said White is believed to have suffered a medical emergency while driving.
