Where Y’at this Weekend: Tales of the Cocktail, Summer of ’99, The Broadside, Onward & Upward tour

  • First, Tales of the Cocktail is back. The conference provides connections within the spirits industry at events like Thursday’s Pig & Punch concert fundraiser, as well as tasting rooms, seminars and the Spirited Awards ceremony.
  • Get ready to party like it’s 1999, as Creed’s “Summer of ‘99” tour stops at the Smoothie King Center on Saturday night, July 26. Creed is joined by Daughtry and Mammoth, as they perform ‘90’s hard rock. Bang your head to hits like “With Arms Wide Open” and “Higher”.
  • Next, dance to the syncopated rhythms of reggae music this Sunday evening, July 27. Bringing their sound to New Orleans for the first time, The Abyssinians perform outdoors at The Broadside. Globally renowned, The Abyssinians take inspiration from their Jamaican roots.
  • Finally, don’t let your weekend end on Sunday, July 27, the alt-rock band Primus performs live at the Saenger Theatre on Monday night, July 28. Their “Onward & Upward” tour features lead singer extraordinaire Les Claypool directing the band’s signature sound. Bassist MonoNeon opens up the show.
