An earlier alert indicated there was an active shooter. However, another later alert clarified that there was no active shooter. The shelter-in-place order remains in effect, officials said.

The incident began around 9:47 a.m., according to police. A SWAT team has been deployed to the scene, police said.

Anyone outside of the perimeter is advised to stay out of the area. Vallejo city employees out in the field are also advised to avoid the area.
