The app, “Nexus”, streamlines important information for patients.
The app also provides GPS directions to the closest UW Health location, provides directions once you are inside a UW Health building and calculates wait times at urgent care facilities.
The app was created to avoid patients having to use multiple different websites or apps to keep track of their information.
“Think of it as that one place, the one app, where you can manage and engage with UW Health,” said UW Health Digital Health Director Crystal Albrent. “So whether that is looking for a provider, or finding an urgent care location, to accessing MyChart and test results, it is the one-stop shop where you can find all of that in one spot.”
Over 15,000 patients were using the new service in September.
Patients can download the app from the Apple or Google Play stores.
