On Friday, August 1st, SporTran City is hosting a career opportunity event for job seekers from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
SporTran’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Candace Bradford, says that the mass recruitment effort is part of its ongoing commitment to expanding access to career opportunities in public transit.
SporTran is seeking bus operators, mechanics, tire technicians, mobility service staff, building & grounds staff, cleaners, and more.
“This is more than a job fair- it’s a launchpad for long-term careers in public transit and
service,” said Dinero Washington, CEO of Sportran. “We’re not just hiring. We’re building a workforce that reflects the heart and hustle of Shreveport-Bossier.”
According to the news release, attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with hiring managers, apply onsite, and explore full-time roles that include competitive benefits, career growth pathways, and the chance to serve the community.
They encourage interested applicants to come dressed for an interview, be prepared to undergo a drug test, and bring their driver’s license, Social Security card, and birth certificate.
SporTran City is located at 1253 Texas Avenue, Shreveport. For more information, contact (318) 221-7433.
