Overnight lane closures planned for Georgia-South Carolina state line on I-20
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Georgia Department of Transportation is implementing overnight lane closures on the Georgia-South Carolina state line for the I-20 at Savannah River Bridge project next week.

Here are the following closures:

Monday, July 28, 9 p.m. until Tuesday, July 29, 7 a.m.

  • Overnight, single-lane closure on I-20 eastbound and westbound from mile marker (MM) 201 to MM 202. The right-hand lane will be closed at 9 p.m. and the closure will be out of the roadway without any unexpected delays by 7 a.m.

Tuesday, July 29, 9 p.m. until Wednesday, July 30, 7 a.m.

  • Overnight, single-lane closure on I-20 eastbound and westbound from mile marker (MM) 201 to MM 202. The right-hand lane will be closed at 9 p.m. and the closure will be out of the roadway without any unexpected delays by 7 a.m. 

Georgia DOT said it is possible that the shoulders of I-20 eastbound and westbound could be impacted as well.

Driver are asked to expect delays and drive with caution while going through the work zone.
