(WPHL) — A Kentucky man charged in April with sex trafficking a 13-year-old Bucks County girl was extradited to Bucks County this week.
Zachary McCauley, 29, of Louisville, Kentucky, faces a slew of charges. On Tuesday, a judge set McCauley’s bail at $10 million, and he remains in custody at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
An investigation by Bucks County Detectives found that McCauley allegedly groomed and coerced the victim into having sexual encounters with two adult males three times in October 2024. According to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, at least one encounter was recorded through a Snapchat video call.
McCauley allegedly added the victim as a friend on Snapchat and identified himself as a 17-year-old named “Jake.” According to prosecutors, McCauley groomed the victim and pressured her into taking sexually explicit photos and videos.
In April, Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn said that at some point, McCauley directed the victim to create a profile on Grindr, a dating app, and give him the login credentials. He allegedly would access the Grindr account to arrange sexual encounters.
The two males involved in the statutory sexual assault of the victim were identified as Jon Thomas Van Ingen, 67, of Buckingham Township, and Randy Francis Quinn, 42, of Coopersburg. Both men are facing several charges and are currently awaiting trial.
A preliminary hearing for McCauley has been scheduled for July 31.
