Seven men were arrested by the Edina Police Department this week as part of an underage human trafficking sting.
Edina police said the seven men who were arrested on Monday ranged in age from 25 to 48 and believed they were arranging to pay for sex with an underage girl. They reportedly live in communities throughout the Twin Cities metro area, authorities said.
The arrests are part of a multi-agency task force focused on addressing trafficking and exploitation along the Interstate Highway 494 corridor.
The operation took place in Edina, with support from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, Hennepin County Attorney’s Office and the Bloomington, Eden Prairie and St. Louis Park police departments.
