3 people injured after shooting near Tenth Avenue, police say

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WRBL) — Phenix City Police are investigating a Wednesday afternoon shooting that left three people injured.

Police say at approximately 1:30 p.m. the Phenix City Police Department was notified of a shooting that occurred in the area of the LP Stough Apartments on 10th Avenue South. Upon arrival, police discovered three victims all suffering from non-life-threatening gun shot wounds.

The victims were all taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital.

The incident did occur near the scene of an earlier crime in the area of 20th Street and 10th Avenue. Police are unsure if the incidents are related to one another.

The Criminal Investigations Division asks if anyone has information related to the shooting, to contact the department at 334-298-0611.
