The brainchild of the Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady and co-founder Chris Costa, the new location at 1027 W Addison Street, Suite A107, will feature the largest selection of single cards of any CardVault store, which has two other locations in Massachusetts, another in Connecticut, and additional locations in New Jersey and New York.
In a release announcing the move, spokespeople say, “CardVault’s curated showroom features sealed boxes and packs, individual cards, and collectibles from top-tier brands, including Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Pokémon, and Fanatics Authentic. Behind CardVault’s iconic vault door is autographed, authenticated memorabilia, including helmets, jerseys, and other equipment. An exclusive line of Chicago-themed CardVault by Tom Brady merchandise—including hats, apparel, and accessories—will also be available.”
CardVault will also provide in-store grading submissions to help collectors evaluate and preserve their collections.
CardVault by Tom Brady will open to the public on Friday, Aug. 1. Store operations are seven days a week: Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The opening coincides with the 45th annual National Sports Collectors Convention, which will take place from Wednesday, July 30, to Sunday, Aug. 3, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. There, the CardVault by Tom Brady team will unveil The Tom Brady Collection, a showcase of game-worn memorabilia, never-before-seen pieces from Brady’s legendary career, and sports cards hand-selected from Tom’s own collection.
