These Fresno Chaffee Zoo attractions will soon close temporarily

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Guests at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo may want to plan ahead of their next visit, as staff say three popular attractions will soon be closing temporarily.

Officials at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo say both the Stingray Bay and the African Adventure savannas will be closed during the month of August.

Stingray Bay is currently closed for mandated, routine maintenance that will continue until Aug. 1.

The two African Adventure Savannahs will be undergoing maintenance between Aug. 25 and Aug. 29. Officials say some animals may not be viewable and the giraffe feeding station will be unavailable as well.

Despite the closures, officials say visitors can still see many of the zoo’s other African Adventure animals, including lions, meerkats, warthogs and elephants.

For updates on exhibits temporarily closing and reopening, officials say visitors can check out the Fresno Chaffee Zoo on social media.
