Target will end longtime price-matching policy
Target confirmed to ABC News that its current “Price Match Guarantee” policy, which honors pricing from other retailers, is ending on Monday, July 28.
The policy, which has been in place since 2013, allowed customers to price match competitors Amazon and Walmart if the same item was sold for less than Target’s price.
Target will no longer price match with competitor pricing; however, customers will still be able to price match with Target’s own products online and in-store if they are marked down to a lower price than the original purchase price within 14 days of purchase.
“We’ve found our guests overwhelmingly price match Target and not other retailers, which reflects the great value and trust in pricing consumers see across our assortment and deals,” a Target spokesperson told ABC News in a statement.
