Shreveport man arrested for alleged relationship with 16-year-old

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Shreveport police have arrested a man for having an inappropriate relationship with a minor.

According to police, an investigation revealed that 36-year-old Gary Porter was accused of having sex with a 16-year-old. It was also revealed that he used narcotics in the course of the offense.

Porter was arrested on one count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

The case remains under investigation, and no further details are expected to be released at this time to protect the investigation and the victim’s privacy. However, anyone with additional information is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department.
