Larson created Rockford Cravings, an Instagram account that highlights area restaurants and small businesses. She has also worked for the BMO Center, Coronado Performing Arts Center, GoRockford, and Geronimo Hospitality Group.
Larson will take over as Executive Director of the Rock River Development Partnership, which oversees the Rockford City Market on Fridays, the Saturday North End Market, and The Market Venue at 116 N. Madison Street.
“As a proud Rockfordian, I’ve always believed in this community,” said Larson. “It is an honor to step into a role that has had such a positive impact, and I look forward to continuing the momentum City Market started 15 years ago.”
She replaces interim executive director Cathy McDermott, who will return to her role as finance manager.
