According to court documents obtained by Nexstar’s WDTN, Anthony Marcus Kelly is facing charges of:
Documents allege Kelly had been identified as the user on social media platform Bluesky who allegedly made threats towards Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, as well as U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.
The alleged threats made by Kelly listed in documents are from June and July.
TXFC reportedly forwarded findings to the Ohio Statewide Terrorism Analysis & Crime Center, as well as the FBI and ICE.
When authorities showed up to Kelly’s home to execute a search warrant, he allegedly admitted to being the Bluesky user and posting items. Court documents claim he “expressed no remorse or regret for the content of his posts” after being Mirandized.
A weapon and ammunition were reportedly located at his residence upon the search, documents claim.
Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary at the Department of Homeland Security, posted on social media, saying that threats against federal officials are not acceptable.
“Thank you to our law enforcement,” said McLaughlin. “These threats will not be tolerated. You will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
NBC affiliate WLWT in Cincinnati reported Kelly’s attorney “plans to fight the charges.”
