The softball program had an outstanding year after advancing to the Women’s College World Series for the first time since 2018, as well as winning the Big Ten Championship. They ended with a 54-10 record, which is the second-most wins in a single season in UO history.
“Oregon softball is one of the elite programs in the country under Lombardi’s leadership, and she consistently prioritizes a first-class student-athlete experience,” said Oregon Athletic Director Rob Mullens. “Her leadership has the program on a tremendous trajectory – competing at the highest level.”
They dominated Big Ten conference play with a 19-3 record and ended No. 5 in the NFCA Coaches’ Poll. She currently sits in second place for the most wins in Oregon softball history, totaling 239-116 over just seven seasons.
