Man shot and killed in New Castle, Delaware

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPHL) — Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead Tuesday afternoon.

According to the New Castle County Division of Police, officers responded to Wilton and Stonebridge Boulevards just before 4 p.m. for a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in an ambulance. Despite life-saving efforts, he was later pronounced dead, police say.

The Criminal Investigations Unit and Evidence Detection Unit are investigating.
