Christopher Lee Johnson, 41, was convicted by a jury on July 10 following a two-day trial in Livingston Parish. The case stems from an August 2022 investigation launched by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) after a victim discovered a memory card
Detectives identified two victims from the videos. Johnson was arrested on Aug. 12, 2022, and his phone was seized as part of the investigation. LPSO’s IT team cracked the phone’s password and found a hidden app with more images and videos.
Authorities later identified four more victims, including one juvenile.
The jury, with eight men and four women, took less than two hours to reach a guilty verdict on all counts. Assistant District Attorney Brett Sommer prosecuted the case, with Judge Erika Sledge presiding.
Johnson will be sentenced on Aug. 5.
