According to deputies, the crash happened about a mile off on Louisiana Highway 308 and Thibodaux, just south of Laurel Valley in a sugar cane field.
Sheriff Craig Webre said the pilot of the helicopter, who was reportedly in their 60s, was in the process of spraying the field when the crash happened.
Sheriff Webre confirms the helicopter belonged to JBI Helicopter Services.
They have died as the result of their injuries.
WGNO crews are on the scene and will release details as more information is made available.
