Caddo Parish Public Schools (CPPS) says that Dr. Staughton Jennings is bringing a wealth of experience to his new role as principal of CMCTS.
“Since 2016, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of Shreveport Charter Schools, Inc., where he led Linwood Public Charter School with a strong focus on teacher development, student achievement, and organizational growth. Under his leadership, Linwood saw significant gains in educator certification, teacher retention, and student performance—earning a reputation strong enough to generate an extensive waitlist,” CPPS wrote via their social media.
CPPS states that Dr. Jennings began his career as a middle school science teacher in DeKalb County, Georgia.
“He also brings national and statewide experience, having served in leadership roles in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Atlanta, Athens, and across Georgia before returning to Shreveport,” says CPPS.
Caddo Parish Public Schools will welcome students’ return on August 13, 2025.
