Once again we will see heat index values around 110, especially early in the afternoon. Expect highs again in the mid to upper 90s.
It does look like cloud cover begins to move in later in the day which should help some with the heat. Spotty showers will also be moving in by later in the day as another tropical wave moves across the northern Gulf from the east to the west.
This will be a very similar setup to the one we saw last week, although tropical development is not currently expected. The NHC is back with a low end 10% chance of development on this wave.
Expect off and on rain Thursday and Friday and temperatures will stay cooler with mid to upper 80s.
