(WPHL) — A water main break is currently causing road closures in Northeast Philadelphia.

Water gushed down Cottman and Oxford Avenues throughout the morning of July 22.

Cottman Avenue is closed from Rising Avenue through Bingham Street.

Officials tell PHL17 that a six-inch pipe broke, causing the leak.

Due to the water, there is currently a sinkhole forming in front of the bus stop.

As of 7:30 a.m., water has been turned off and repairs are underway.
