WABASH, Ind. — A Wabash man is under arrest after a state police investigation into a man allegedly using an online account to contact minors.

Ethan Cornett, 24, was arrested on Friday by members of the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. He is charged with one count of child solicitation, a Level 5 felony.

According to the Indiana State Police, investigators were tipped off in April about someone using an online account to contact minors. The investigation led the task force to Cornett’s home in Wabash.

A search of Cornett’s home resulted in several electronic devices being seized by state police. Cornett was then taken into custody without incident and transported to the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office.

If convicted of a Level 5 felony, Cornett could face up to six years in prison.

No other details into this investigation have been released at this time.
