The York County-based Wolfgang Confectioners announced on June 27 that it had acquired The Warrell Corporation, which was founded out of Mount Holly Springs, Pa., in 1965.
According to Wolfgang Confectioners, this recent acquisition will expand their current 150,000 square feet of manufacturing space with Warrell’s 230,000 square feet.
Wolfgang Confectioners added that this investment will combine each company’s expert capabilities in confection co-manufacturing, packing, and innovation.
“We are excited to welcome the Warell team into the Wolfgang family,” Same Miller, CEO of Wolfgang Confectioners, said. “This acquisition strengthens our commitment to providing top tier co-manufacturing services to customers, while also opening up new opportunities for growth and innovation.”
Moving forward, Wolfgang Confectioners will integrate Warrell’s technologies and skilled workforce into its operations, further expanding their production capacity and capabilities.
“As my family and I considered the next step for The Warrell Corporation, our north star has always been our commitment to what is in the best interest of our customers, employees, and stakeholders,” Linda Warrell Garayalde, Chairman of Warrell, said. “We recognized a like-minded group in the Wolfgang team, with a shared knowledge and passion for the snack and confectionary industry, alongside the resources to invest in our business and our people. I am confident of the continued success of The Warrell Corporation as part of the Wolfgang platform.”
According to Wolfgang Confectioners, the York headquartered company has operated since 1921, providing high-quality products and services to local, regional, and national brands.
