Jersey City-born actor Malcolm‑Jamal Warner, beloved for his portrayal of Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, has died at 54 following an accidental drowning while on a family vacation, sources confirm.

A Life on Screen & Beyond
Born August 18, 1970, Warner shot to fame at just 14 as the charming, witty Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show (1984–1992). The role earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination and secured his place in television history. He went on to star in Malcolm & Eddie, Reed Between the Lines, Major Crimes, Suits, and The Resident. His career also spanned music, theater, directing, voice work—most notably in The Magic School Bus—and a Grammy win in 2015 for Best Traditional R&B Performance.

Last year, he co‑launched the enlightening podcast Not All Hood, courageously addressing mental health within the Black community. His final episode aired just days before his passing.
