Police arrest man for fatal shooting of 28-year-old woman

According to police, the shooting occurred at 8:38 p.m.on the 2600 block of Latona Street.

Police found 28-year-old Amira Harper suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where she later died at 9:07 p.m.

28-year-old Zakiyy Bonds was charged with Murder, Possession of an Instrument of Crime, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and related offenses for Harper’s death.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
