NOPD hoping second look gets arrest in serial burglary case

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Six month after a serial burglary investigation began, the NOPD is hoping the pubic will take a second look at the suspect because the case remains unsolved. It’s the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

All four of the burglaries happened over a four-day period. On Jan. 3, a home was burglarized in the 1900 block of Treasure Street. Later that same day, a second home was burglarized in the 6000 block of Baccich Street.

Two days later, a home in the 4600 block of Baccich was burglarized followed by the final residential burglary the next day in the 4200 block of Rayne Drive.

Six months after the burglary spree, police once again released the image of the suspect standing next to the car they also say he used to make his getaway. Police do not know if the man is responsible for additional burglaries at this time. They say, among other items, credit cards were taken from the homes.

To see the latest Wheel of Justice report, including the image of the suspect and car, watch the video at the top of this story. If you have information that could help police catch the man, call CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111. You don’t have to reveal your name or testify in court, and you could be eligible to earn a cash reward.

So far, more than 475 people have been booked after their cases rolled on the Wheel of Justice.
