CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — This weekend, the 24th annual “24 Hours of Booty” cycling event is set to hit the streets! 24 Hours of Booty is a community-powered celebration that raises money for cancer patients, survivors, and programs that support them.

It all takes place on the scenic Booty Loop in Myers Park, where participants can cycle or walk as much, or as little, as they’d like over 24 hours. Organizers said it’s not a race; it’s about showing up, giving back, and being part of something meaningful.

Our very own Jason Harper is taking part again this year. He recently caught up with event founder Spencer Lueders, on a bike, of course, to reflect on how far this event has come.

Since it began, the event has raised over $30 million to help those facing cancer. It’s a powerful reminder of what a dedicated community can do.

Registration is open now, whether you want to ride, donate, or volunteer. Learn more here and don’t forget to catch Jason’s full interview with Spencer Lueders on Queen City News+
