Frederick man killed in collision while crossing Columbia Pike

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) is continuing to investigate a fatal collision that left a man dead on Friday night.

Just after 10:30 p.m., MCPD was called to the intersection of Columbia Pike and Tech Road for the report of a collision involving a pedestrian.

Officers learned that 52-year-old Yaovi Magloire Guedoh, of Frederick, was crossing Columbia Pike when, for reasons still unknown, he was hit by a 2020 GMC Terrain. Despite life-saving efforts, Guedoh died from his injuries.

The driver of the Terrain stayed at the scene.
