Chicago police searching for Aramark employee who shot 2 people
CHICAGO — Chicago police are searching for an Aramark employee who allegedly shot two people.

According to a statement, an Aramark employee working at UI Health got into an argument with a patient Monday morning in the lobby of the OCC South Tower.

During the altercation, the employee, identified as Glenn Rhymes, pulled out a handgun and threatened the patient, according to UI Health.

UI Health Security and UIC Police responded immediately. Rhymes was taken into custody by UIC Police, and the weapon was confiscated. The weapon was not fired, and no one was injured.

After being released from custody, Rhymes allegedly shot two people in their home, one of them also an Aramark employee working at UI Health. He remains at large.

The Chicago Police Department is leading the investigation into the shooting.

“UIC Police have set up an Incident Command at UI Health. We have tightened access to UI Health facilities and additional UIC Police are posted at UI Health,” the statement reads.
