$677,821 Powerball ticket sold in Bay Area Monday

(KRON) — One lucky person in the Bay Area is off to a great start to the week. On Monday, a $677,821 winning Powerball ticket was sold in San Bruno, according to the California Lottery.

The Powerball numbers for Monday were 8, 11, 28, 33 and 42, with a Powerball of 2. The winning ticket matched all five numbers of the draw, but missed matching the Powerball, which would have elevated the $677,821 prize to $308 million.

The winning 5/5 ticket was sold at Specialty Tobacco Outlet at 1230 El Camino Real.

In the runner-up category, 57 tickets sold matched four numbers of the draw, earning $268 a piece.

The next Powerball draw is on Wednesday, where the jackpot increases to an estimated $325 million.
