17-year-old critically hurt in Landover shooting, police say

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) is investigating a shooting that left a teenage boy seriously hurt in the early hours of Monday morning.

PGPD said a 17-year-old boy was shot at about 2 a.m. in the Landover area. He sought help at an Exxon gas station in the 7100 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Highway and was taken to the hospital.

As of Monday at 11 a.m., he was in critical, but stable condition.

Police noted that the shooting itself happened in the 1800 block of Cedarwood Court. Detectives were still working to determine what led up to the shooting.
