LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — More than 4,000 customers are without power in northern and eastern parts of Kentucky amid a strong storm system making its way into the Bluegrass.
According to PowerOutages.Us, the majority of outages by 9:20 p.m. on Sunday impacted Kenton County, with just over 2,100 customers currently without electricity. Over 660 Pulaski County customers were without power, along with 204 in Magoffin County.
Gov. Andy Beshear posted on Facebook to advise the public that “serious weather” was appearing across northern and eastern Kentucky.
Around 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office posted a video of rising water levels covering an area of the road with more rain pouring down. Deputies encouraged residents to be careful under the flash flooding conditions, asking folks to turn around and not drown.
