
TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (ABC4) — A man was arrested in Taylorsville on Sunday after he alledgely stabbed his uncle to death during a family fight.
According to a court affidavit, Taylorsville Police responded to a home on a report of a stabbing that had just occurred. After arriving, they found 26-year-old Damon Michael Rushton at the home, along with the uncle who was deceased on the floor.
After being read his Miranda Rights, Rushton admitted to police he stabbed his uncle after he placed Rushton’s brother in a choke hold. Other family members on scene said the uncle was trying to stop the brother from assaulting their father when they intervened and ended up being stabbed.
Rushton was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
