CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Claiborne County deputies said four suspects were arrested, including a juvenile, in connection to an “organized theft operation.”

On July 14, deputies said the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Franklin Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana regarding the theft of a 2022 Ford F-350 that had been purchased using a fraudulent cashier’s check. After realizing the check was counterfeit, the vehicle’s owner activated the truck’s OnStar tracking device, which led authorities to a location on Barland Road in Claiborne County.

Deputies responded and located the stolen F-350. While investigating the scene, deputies said an additional stolen vehicle was also discovered.

During a broader investigation, authorities said they recovered several ATVs and vehicles believed to be connected to a large organized theft operation.

Marvin Ratliff, Jr., Jadariz McDaniel, Terrance Edwards and an unidentified juvenile were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and possession of stolen property. Deputies said there are active warrants for DeiAriton Warner, of Hermanville, and Trey Watts, of Hinds County.

Investigators from the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce (MDAC) are assisting in the case.
