Five injured in Waynesboro drive-by shooting

WAYNESBORO, Miss. (WHLT) – Five people were injured during a drive-by shooting in Waynesboro, police said.

The shooting occurred on Turner Street at Grey Street around 11:00 p.m. on July 20.

According to Waynesboro Police Chief Holt Ross, multiple shots were fired in front of a residential area. One victim was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson for treatment.
