Firefighters respond to early morning semi trailer fire near Leeds
LEEDS, Utah (ABC4) — A semi-truck fire on Interstate 15 lead to a multi-agency response near Hurricane early Sunday morning.

Firefighters from Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue were called out to a report of a semi-trailer fire around 7 a.m. near milepost 20 on southbound I-15. When firefighters arrived, they found the rear of the semi tralier fully involved and that the two drivers had already disconnected the cab from the trailer.

Firefighters were able to quickly attack the fire and contain it, which had extended into the interior of the trailer.

The cause of the fire was determined to be overheated breaks. No injuries were reported in the fire. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Utah Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
