Court documents state the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children began investigating a cyber tip in December 2021 that identified an IP address, email address, and Kik screenname that further investigation showed was connected Boehnlein’s fiance.

This IP address had been uploading videos to social media that depicted children between the ages of 6 to 9 engaging in sexual activity.

When detectives went to execute a search warrant at Boehnlein’s home, the documents state they found his fiance in a back bedroom holding a methamphetamine pipe with methamphetamine present.

The documents also state the Boehnlein initially denied any knowledge of the child pornography but, “eventually admitted that due to trauma he experienced as a child, he recently began looking at child pornography.”

Boehnlein was also ordered to do 240 hours of community service and pay a $3,000 fine as part of his plea agreement. He will have to register as a sex offender as well.
