Topeka man found dead after drowning at Council Grove City Lake

COUNCIL GROVE (KSNT) – A Topeka man has been found dead after going missing late Saturday night.

According to a press release from the Council Grove Police Department, last night at 9:35 p.m., the Council Grove Police Department received a report of a missing person or drowning at Council Grove City Lake.

After a long search by the Council Grove Police Department, Morris County EMS, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks and more, Mark Moore, 66, of Topeka was recovered. His body was found at approximately 11:29 p.m.
