SF agencies collaborate to rescue person who fell in the bay

(KRON) – San Francisco authorities collaborated to save a person who fell into the bay near the Ferry Building, said the San Francisco Fire Department.

On Saturday, a person fell into the water near the Ferry Building. SFFD, the San Francisco Police Department and the United States Coast Guard worked together for this rescue.

SFFD rescue swimmers were able to pull the individual out of the water.

“Thanks to the quick actions of these agencies, along with the assistance of a Bay Ferry that threw a life preserver ring to the victim, the rescue was successful,” said the SF Fire Department.

The rescuee, according to authorities, has been assessed by paramedics and is expected to be in good condition, according to the department.
