Roughly 20 people rescued after being stranded in flooded Chevy Chase building

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) rescued a group of people stranded inside a building surrounded by floodwater on Saturday.

According to MCFRS, around 8:15 p.m., crews responded to reports of people stranded in a building in the 7900 block of Meadowbrook Ln. in Chevy Chase.

MCFRS reports that around 20 people were attending an event when the water began to rise outside.

Everyone was able to safely evacuate unharmed.
