According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Black and Gold signed defensive end Jonathan Bullard Saturday afternoon.
Bullard finished a three-year stint with the Minnesota Vikings this past season, and although the former Florida Gator only had one sack in 2024, Bullard has been consistently healthy: playing 46 of 51 eligible games over the last three years.
Minnesota was Bullard’s fifth team of his nine-year career.
The 2016 third round pick had one-year stops with the Atlanta Falcons (2021) and the Seattle Seahawks (2020), and Arizona Cardinals (2019), but the team which drafted the North Carolina-native ties Bullard to the Saints new coaching staff.
The defensive end began his career with the Chicago Bears, and during two of Bullard’s three seasons in the Windy City, Brandon Staley was the team’s Outside Linebackers coach.
Now, the 6’3″, 291-pound defensive end has reunited with the Saints first-year defensive coordinator, after visiting the team last month.
The Black and Gold begin training camp on Wednesday, July 23rd.
