
Only one member of Oregon’s congressional delegation voted for the bill. Not coincidentally, he’s the only Republican among them.
Congressman Cliff Bentz of Ontario is a third-generation Oregonian. He represents Oregon’s 2nd District, the largest district in Oregon, covering most of eastern, southern and central Oregon.
Rep. Bentz returned to Eye on Northwest Politics to talk about what’s good in the bill, how the immigration crackdown component could impact his district’s economy, as well as whether the cuts to Medicaid could close rural hospitals in his district.
