Minneapolis Police said two people were arrested Sunday morning after they were reportedly obstructing officers who were assisting injured people and investigating a crime scene.

Police said officers were patrolling the area near the 1400 block of Lagoon Avenue when they heard gunfire.

Responding to the area, officers said they found two men with apparent non-life-threatening gunshot injuries.

While on scene, police said a crowd began to interfere with officers who were rendering aid to the injured men and officers who were trying to collect evidence.

The two injured men were transported to the hospital for treatment.

While a suspect behind the shooting has not been arrested at this time, police said two men were arrested for obstruction and booked into the Hennepin County Jail.

Police said they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
