12 artists compete for $10,000 Music Prize

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Film Prize Foundation’s “Music Prize” is giving 12 musicians from across the country a chance to win $10,000, and fans can vote for their favorite artists.

Prize Fest is a nonprofit that not only rewards talent with significant cash prizes but also uplifts creatives and fosters a sense of community. All 12 artists represent a variety of genres and styles, and it is up to the voters to select their favorite lineup.

The 12 musicians’ streams are only available from now through Friday, July 25, at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Once you’ve listened to the musicians, you can build your lineup with your favorite three acts.

Out of 12 bands, only ten will be selected for the finals, which will take place on October 13-14, 2025, at The Garage in Shreveport, LA.

  • First place is awarded $10,000 cash.
  • Second place is awarded $2,000 cash.
  • Third place is awarded $1,000 cash.
  • Audience choice wins $1,000 cash.
