MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Two Montgomery County men are facing charges in connection with a burglary and theft that took place on July 9, police announced Friday.

The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) arrested 39-year-old Oscar Hernandez-Bonilla of Rockville and 41-year-old Osmin Ernesto Martinez Diaz of Silver Spring, who are both charged with second-degree burglary and theft-related charges.

MCPD said that around 10:45 a.m. on July 9, officers were flagged down in the 11200 block of Georgia Ave. for a reported burglary that took place earlier that morning at the Elite Studio and Barber on Triangle Lane.

Police believe that shortly before 2:05 a.m., the two men went into the business, stole items then left.

“Officers immediately recognized Hernandez-Bonilla from surveillance video, and located him nearby, in possession of stolen items,” MPCD said in a release.

On that same day, officers also found and arrested Martinez Diaz. He had injuries from before the arrest and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Police say Martinez Diaz has since been released on bond, and Hernandez-Bonilla is still being held.
