MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A man has been charged in a Wednesday shooting that left three people hurt, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.

Police said Nicholas Lloyd, 44, has been charged with three counts of attempted second-degree murder, three counts of first-degree assault, three counts of second-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and handgun-related charges.

According to police, officers received reports of shots fired at 11:51 p.m. in the 20000 block of Shadyside Way in Germantown, where two men were found with gunshot wounds and another with a graze wound.

An initial investigation determined that there had been an ongoing feud involving Lloyd and several other men. Around 10 p.m., three men and a woman were outside Lloyd’s home, arguing, resulting in Lloyd firing several shots from his rifle while on his balcony.

After the shooting, police said Lloyd began rendering aid to one of the men who was shot.

Police said two of the men sustained gunshot wounds, with one man being shot several times. Both were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man who suffered a graze wound was treated and released on the scene. According to police, the woman who was outside the home was not injured in the shooting.

Police recovered Lloyd’s rifle at the scene, and he was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.
