IBC: Dot Group To Showcase Solutions At IBC 2025

Dot Group, a data management solutions company, will showcase its innovations in carbon transparency and high-speed file transfer at IBC 2025 in the Future Tech Zone, Hall 14, Stand D29.

“As established data engineering experts, the company is uniquely positioned to address the broadcasting industry’s dual challenges of environmental compliance and operational efficiency through intelligent data solutions,” the company said in a statement.

Among Dot Group’s exhibited offerings: GreenDot, which the company described as a “novel proprietary carbon transparency solution for broadcast IT infrastructure”. GreenDot” that “provides real-time monitoring of servers, applications, processors and processes, delivering previously unseen insights into carbon footprint and resource utilization.”
The company will also showcase IBM’s portfolio of sustainability solutions, including IBM Apptio for cloud cost management and financial optimization, IBM Turbonomic for AI-driven resource management, and IBM Envizi for ESG reporting and sustainability data management. “These solutions enable broadcasters to optimize both operational costs and environmental impact through data-driven decision making,” the statement also said.
Addressing the accessibility challenge in high-speed file transfer, Dot Group will debut IBM Aspera Lite, a bundled entry-level solution that the company said has been “designed specifically for smaller broadcast operations and business units that find enterprise solutions excessive for their needs, IBM Aspera Lite delivers high-speed transfers superior to traditional managed file transfer whilst offering fixed subscription pricing with no unpredictable costs.” It is available in 100 Mbps, 500 Mbps and 1 Gbps tiers, and is purportedly ideal for organizations seeking basic collaboration, simple automation and easy management with lean technical teams.
“Data is the foundation of both efficient operations and environmental responsibility,” said Simon Parkinson, managing director at Dot Group. “Our expertise lies in helping broadcasters identify the right combination of solutions for their specific needs, whether that’s real-time carbon monitoring through GreenDot or optimizing file transfer workflows through IBM Aspera technologies.
“By providing transparent, actionable data about resource utilisation and carbon footprint, we enable informed decisions that simultaneously reduce costs and environmental impact,” Parkinson continued. “The broadcasting industry’s future depends on intelligent data management that serves both business objectives and environmental responsibilities.”
