11th Street is undergoing improvements with a construction plan that began April 7th.
The project will involve complete reconstruction of the streets, water and sanitary upgrades, and railroad crossing upgrades, with work scheduled to last through October. The road will be closed to traffic two blocks at a time during construction.
Beginning Monday, July 21st, the intersection of 11th Street and 15th Avenue will be closed for two weeks while a new water main is installed.
Access for residents, businesses, mail service, deliveries, trash pickup, and emergency vehicles will be maintained during the construction, according to the city.
The project involves removing and replacing the roadway, driveways, installing new sidewalks and a multi-use path, curb and gutter removal and replacement, storm sewer upgrades, sewer improvements, and traffic signal upgrades.
