SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Friday’s forecast is a repeat for the near term. Marine layer clouds will gradually roll back to the coast by mid morning, leading to sunny skies inland with some lingering coastal clouds.

Interior afternoon high temperatures will be warmer, as highs soar into the upper 80s to 90s. Despite the warmup, it is July, and overnight cooling will keep heat risk concerns in the minor category. Coastal and bay shorelines will not see much of a warmup, given the onshore flow and lingering marine layer clouds.

Tonight into Saturday, there will be another round of marine layer clouds, but more compressed. Therefore, patchy fog and drizzle will be more likely tonight.

Seasonably cool weather persists for much of next week.

Sunrise in San Francisco is at 6:02 a.m. Sunset is at 8:29 p.m.
